This long-sleeved wrap body "Newborn" is the ideal entry-level product for all newborns. It is equally suitable for parents who want to have the basic equipment ready for their baby as well as for friends and family who are looking for a gift for the birth.

Thanks to its practical press studs, the "Newborn" wrap body can be spread out almost like a cloth, making it easier to put on and take off.

How is this bodysuit different from other models?

This wrap body was woven from the finest merino fiber and is therefore a bit thinner and softer than the other merino bodies.

The fold-down sleeves protect baby from scratching themselves with their little nails, which can be very sharp at times.

What is so special about this "Newborn" wrap body?

The wrap body has a total of eight nickel-free snaps.

Three can be found in the crotch and form the openings for the legs.

Two buttons are on the inside to lay the fabric smoothly over the tummy. The opposite pole of the two snaps on the inside is worked like the decorative border of the body, so you have a little more leeway to close the snaps.

One of the three externally visible press studs is also attached to a fabric strap. This way the button can be closed without touching the baby's body.

The extra-fine wool fiber makes the wrap body even more comfortable to wear and is the ideal piece of clothing for newborns who have very sensitive or even sore skin.

Is the extra fine merino fiber more sensitive than the fine quality?

The "Newborn" bodysuit made from extra-fine merino wool is just as easy to care for as our other merino products. However, the wool reacts more quickly to abrasion caused by movement. That is why we only offer this extra-fine quality for newborns, as activity is still limited here.

What is special about merino wool?

Merino wool is resistant to dust mites and other microorganisms. The natural fiber is breathable, adapts well to body temperature and does not retain more heat than necessary. Thus, it protects against sweating.

Because merino wool is breathable, it warms you up when it's cold and cools you down when it's hot. This made every piece of clothing made from pure merino wool wearable all year round. The natural product has a moisture-regulating effect, is odorless, scratch-free and offers natural UV protection.

All Woolrex clothing is made from 100% pure merino wool, without any admixtures. This makes the clothing all the more skin-friendly and nature-friendly. Because every Woolrex product can be completely recycled.

Mulesing-free merino wool

Our products should be worn with a clear conscience and joy. That's why we only source and process mulesing-free raw wool. We have this bindingly confirmed by our suppliers.

General care instructions

Pure merino wool products do not need to be washed often. A simple airing out is usually sufficient.

If washing is necessary, this can be done either by hand or in the machine at up to 40 degrees.

For machine washing, the spin speed should not exceed 60 revolutions. Select the delicate, hand wash or wool wash program.

When washing, close all zips to prevent the wool from pulling threads. In addition, a laundry net should be used to protect the laundry.

Please use a special detergent for wool (e.g. Perwoll ) or a shampoo as detergent. Do not add hygiene or fabric softener when washing. Even special detergents for babies (e.g. Filetti Sensitive) are not suitable for merino wool!

When washing by hand, it is important to ensure that the item of laundry is neither vigorously scrubbed nor wrung.

The following size table should help you to find the right size for your WOOLREX product.

The size for baby and children's clothing is based on the length of the child's body. With a body size of 53 cm, clothing size 50-56 should be selected.

The age information given in the size table is only to be understood as a guide and represents a general average ratio of age to size.

For birth gifts, we recommend size 62-68 if the height of the newborn is not known.

The rule of thumb for baby sleeping bags is the following calculation:

Body length - head length +10 cm = sleeping bag length

The natural fiber merino has natural elasticity. This effect can be intensified with an appropriate knitting technique. This is also the reason why baby clothes made of merino wool can be worn for a relatively long time and the child does not outgrow the clothes quite as quickly.

Long sleeve shirts / sweaters

We give the age as a guideline. The wool in combination with the weave has a slight stretch effect, which is why the shirts are rather large. In the following table you will find the respective sizes as well as the dimensions for the sleeve length (each measured from the middle of the neck), the chest circumference, the hip circumference and the back length.
